SERVICING CARS FOR OVER 30 YEARS!

Tough Guy Enterprises has its humble beginnings as Chicago Auto Radiator in South Bend, dating back to 1922, when it was owned by Harold Huff. Harold Naragon worked and trained under Mr. Huff and learned the trade of radiator repair. The business was acquired by Harold Naragon from Mr. Huff in 1960. Harold Naragon, along with his wife Marion and their two sons grew the business into one of the most trusted radiator shops in Michiana. Due to Harold's health issues, the business was sold in 1987.

His son Barry at the time did not want to own his own business, so he allowed them to sell Chicago Auto Radiator. However, he was under contract to work for the new owner for a year. After that year, Barry left the trade, but the demand for his superior skill in the trade was so great that he decided to build a new business, and Tough Guy Enterprises was established in 1991.

Barry taught his three sons who each got their start growing up in the trade at Chicago Auto Radiator as well. Barry and his sons grew the business through the honesty and integrity that they put into their work, along with their best form of advertisement, word of mouth. Tough Guy Enterprises made a name for itself out of a cramped shop on Ireland Road in South Bend, IN, and after 23 years at the location, it was time to expand. In 2014, Tough Guy Enterprises moved to a larger building in Lakeville, IN to accommodate a larger influx of customers.

Tough Guy Enterprises is now run by Barry's two sons, Scott and Steve, along with their cousin Clint Jr. and Steve's son Gatlin. Over the course of its 23 years, Tough Guy Enterprises has grown from working on primarily heating and cooling systems, to including more of a well-rounded automotive shop. Always a small, locally run family business; fast, courteous, and affordable service has always been our main concern and has grown us into the 4th generation shop we are today.
